About the role
Terac is looking for intermediate to expert parametric 3D CAD modelers in the United States to create realistic mechanical models and engineering modification tasks.
This paid study evaluates how engineering designs are structured and modified within open-source environments. You will review technical briefs, construct parametric models that meet engineering constraints, and document the corresponding modification tasks.
Final deliverables must be native, editable FreeCAD .FCStd files with a live feature tree. Applicants should provide a link to examples of their past CAD work.
Scope of Work
- Review technical briefs for parametric modeling assignments.
- Design or reconstruct realistic mechanical CAD models using proper constraints.
- Create and document engineering modification tasks based on your models.
- Deliver native, editable FreeCAD .FCStd files with a live feature tree.
What you’ll bring
- Must be located in the United States.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Must have 1 or more years of professional or advanced project experience with mechanical CAD.
- Intermediate, Advanced, or Expert proficiency with parametric 3D CAD software.
- Hands-on experience with SolidWorks, Siemens NX / CATIA, PTC Creo / Autodesk Inventor, Fusion 360 / Onshape, or FreeCAD.
- Must be able to design or reconstruct models in FreeCAD and deliver native .FCStd files with a live feature tree.
- Must be able to provide a link to examples of past CAD work.
