About the role

What We're Researching: We're running a paid study on everyday household activities to better understand human movement and task execution in home environments. Collecting this first-person video data helps improve spatial awareness and activity recognition models. We are looking for individuals willing to document their normal daily routines.

How It Works: You will record yourself performing standard household chores and daily activities. Using your own smartphone secured in a forehead mount, you will capture first-person video of these routines. After capturing the footage, you will upload the files to our platform for review. The entire process allows you to complete tasks asynchronously at your own pace.

Who This Is For: This opportunity is for individuals who are comfortable recording their daily home routines. You must own a smartphone and be able to use a forehead mount (Terac provided) to capture stable, first-person video. We welcome anyone with a typical household environment who can reliably follow recording instructions.

Scope of Work

• Attach your smartphone to a forehead mount for stable recording
• Record first-person video while performing routine household activities
• Ensure clear lighting and visibility while filming your tasks
• Upload your video files securely to our research platform

What you’ll bring

• Access to a personal smartphone with a high-quality camera
• Ability to use a forehead mount for your device
• Comfortable capturing and sharing video of your home environment
• Reliable internet connection for uploading video files
• Must be 18+ years old and fluent in English.
• Must currently reside in a Metropolitan area in Brazil.
• Must use a qualifying smartphone day to day (Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer, iPhone 12 or newer, or Google Pixel 6 or newer).
• Must connect to the internet via daily home Wi-Fi or mobile data only.
• Spends at least 2 hours on household tasks on a normal day.
• Willing to record daily activity with their personal mobile phone and a Terac provided headset.

Contract & Payment Terms

• You will be engaged as an independent contractor.
• This is a fully remote opportunity that can be completed on your own schedule.
• Opportunities can be extended, shortened, or concluded early depending on needs and performance.
• Your participation will not involve access to confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, or institution.
• Payments are processed weekly based on services rendered.
