About the role
Help AI models learn spoken Hindi through accurate audio transcription and structured speaker labeling. For each short clip, transcribe what is said and identify the number of speakers, each speaker's gender and whether they sound native or non-native.
Labels must reflect what you actually hear rather than guesses. Clear clips take a few minutes; overlapping voices and background speech can take longer. No prior AI knowledge or education qualification is required.
Success means word-for-word transcripts following project spelling and formatting conventions, speaker labels that withstand review, consistency across batches and steady throughput once up to speed.
Scope of Work
- Transcribe Hindi audio accurately using the project's formatting and spelling conventions.
- Record the number of distinct speakers in each clip.
- Label each speaker's gender and fluency as native or non-native based on the audio.
- Flag unclear, corrupted or non-Hindi clips.
- Maintain consistent transcripts and labels across each batch.
- Apply reviewer feedback and make corrections required by the guidelines.
What you’ll bring
- Native Hindi speaker.
- English at B2 or above to follow written guidelines.
- A careful ear for Hindi accents, dialects and fluency.
- Comfortable with independent, remote task-based work.
- Reliable internet, good headphones and a quiet listening space.
- Available at least 15 hours per week. No education requirement or prior AI knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Audio transcription or subtitling experience.
- Familiarity with Standard Hindi, regional accents and register overlap with Urdu.
- Experience with structured annotation guidelines.
